**Status:** Actively Worshipped
**Overview:** Sarenrae, known as *the Dawnflower*, is a widely revered goddess whose faith emphasizes redemption before judgment and mercy before wrath. Her doctrine teaches that all beings deserve the chance to turn away from darkness, but that when repentance is refused or harm continues, cleansing fire is not only permitted but required. Her clergy are healers, mediators, and protectors, but they are not forbidden from violence when no other path remains. [[Zeph Calderon]] came to the faith of Sarenrae slowly during his years in [[Sothis]], drawn not by comfort or forgiveness, but by structure. The Dawnflower’s insistence on choice, restraint, and final accountability aligned with what he had already learned the hard way. Mercy was offered first. After that, responsibility followed. Sarenrae does not demand purity from her followers, only honesty. Zeph does not believe himself redeemed, nor does he expect absolution. His devotion is practical and disciplined, shaped by the belief that someone must stand between mercy and fire and be willing to accept the cost. He follows the Dawnflower not because she promises salvation, but because her faith draws a line he refuses to cross.
