Travelers stopped there for supplies, horses were everywhere, and most of what happened in town had absolutely nothing to do with me. - That changed when I crossed paths with [[Kaelen Droswynn]] again. - Kaelen and I had enough history between us by then that neither of us was interested in walking away. Whatever restraint we might once have had disappeared quickly, and the fight ended with me mortally wounded. - I died in Amphail. - As usual, death was not particularly interested in keeping me. [[Beshaba]]'s curse dragged me back again, leaving Amphail as another place on the map where I can point to the exact spot my life was supposed to have ended. - I could probably tell someone about Amphail's horses, ranches, and quiet countryside if they asked. Mostly, I remember bleeding out there beside someone I had once trusted.
