I was young when it began, but old enough by the end to remember that the world seemed considerably less permanent than the adults liked pretending it was. - From what I was taught, the Sundering involved a number of changes among the gods and the return of powers that had long been absent or believed lost. - I know [[Mystra]] returned during this period, and [[The Weave]] eventually became stable again after generations of "magical disruption". - The exact divine causes are considerably more complicated than anything I understood at the time. - A year after [[Olivia Halcrest]]'s death in 1487 DR, the worst of the upheaval had settled and the world entered something resembling stability again, although plenty of places and people had already been permanently changed, myself included... - I remember the Second Sundering less as a single catastrophe and more as several years during which enormous things just "kept happening".
