[[Marcel Voltaire]], [[Constantine]], [[Kalis Mikhailson]], [[Drougma Tarak]], [[Traxis]], and I each received a letter from Yang directing us toward [[Stormwreck Isle]] and asking us to help his friend [[Elder Runara]]. - We arrived as complete strangers with very different reasons for answering the same invitation. Whatever Yang saw in the six of us, he apparently believed we belonged in the same place at the same time, though he has never explained exactly why he chose any of us. - Our first real test together came on Stormwreck Isle. We worked alongside the people of [[Dragon's Rest]] and the [[Dragon's Rest Kobolds]], eventually killing [[Sparkrender]] and helping protect the island from what he intended to do there. - Yang only appeared to us directly after the situation on Stormwreck had been resolved. That was when he explained more about the [[Cult of the Dragon]] and made it clear that whatever we had just survived was only the beginning of something much larger. - Since then, we have followed the Cult from [[Greenest]] across the Sword Coast, through camps, caravans, cities, and enough bad decisions that I have stopped attempting to count them. We have no real leader or formal structure; most of the time we simply argue until somebody starts walking in a direction and the rest of us eventually follow. - [[Traxis]] eventually left the group, leaving the five of us to continue without him. Despite that, and despite how often we disagree with one another, the rest of us have stayed together through considerably more than I expected when I first stepped onto the boat for Stormwreck. - The name "Yang Gang" started as something informal and slightly ridiculous, which probably makes it more appropriate than anything serious we could have chosen. Whatever Yang originally intended when he brought us together, at this point the group has become something of its own, held together less by him than by everything we have already survived together.
