To most people it is a tavern and inn. To me, it is home. - Dad, [[Rowan Eldwynair]], opened the Flagon in the early 1460s after stepping away from active service with the [[Order of the Lucky Blades]]. - The Flagon became one of Silvercross's main gathering places while I was growing up. Travelers, pilgrims, adventurers, townsfolk, and members of the Order all passed through as if it were any archway in the town I called home. - Near the entrance sits the silver cup that gave the Flagon its name. Folk traditionally drop a coin into it when they enter, less as payment than as a small acknowledgment of [[Tymora]] and whatever luck brought them through the door in the first place. - Dad is usually the presence people remember most clearly, but the place has always depended on far more people than my father would probably admit. [[Dante Thaylen]], [[Randal Fallowbrook]], [[Sera Windmere]], [[Belgo Underfern]], [[Emberra Quillflare]], and [[Ellira Leafsong]] have all helped make the Flagon what it is. - The three of us, Dad, My mother, [[Therona Eldwynair]], and I lived above the tavern, which meant I grew up with the sound of whatever nonsense was occurring downstairs more often than not. - [[Olivia Halcrest]] was a regular part of that life as well. Some of my clearest memories of her are tied to evenings spent around the tavern or outside beneath the Silvercross sky. - I have slept in considerably worse places since leaving Silvercross. More importantly, I have learned there is a difference between somewhere you sleep and somewhere that still feels like yours after years away. Uses Cormyrean beef, wild carrots, Tethyrian red onions, and Blackfeather barley. Served with a hunk of brown bread for dipping. --- - **Boar Haunch with Apple Chutney** | *9 SP* | Roast wild boar glazed in honey and sunfruit juice, balanced by sharp apple chutney.
