Most of the stone used throughout [[Silvercross]] eventually passes through her quarry. - Varka has always been strict about the quality of the stone that leaves her operation. She inspects the work closely and has little patience for careless cuts or material she considers unfit to be used in town. - She works closely with [[Doran Granitejaw]], with stone from the quarry regularly being shaped for the buildings, roads, walls, and other structures around Silvercross. - Varka has never struck me as especially interested in making herself pleasant for the sake of it. She is direct, disciplined, and expects the people working under her to take the quarry as seriously as she does. - Growing up in Silvercross, it was easy to take places like the quarry for granted. The older I became, the more obvious it was that much of the town quite literally stands on work Varka and her people were responsible for.
