It is easy enough to walk past if you are not looking for it, though the warm light coming through the windows and the strange collection inside make it difficult to forget once you have actually gone in. - The shop is run by [[Elaris Whisperwind]], a half-elf with a quiet voice and a habit of tapping rhythms against whatever happens to be nearby. I have never been entirely sure whether she realizes she is doing it. - Most of what she sells is not the sort of magic that wins battles. The shelves are filled instead with odd instruments, arcane trinkets, and enchanted objects that do small, strange things. - Proper spellcraft appears among her wares from time to time, but most of the shop is made up of curiosities whose magic is more interesting than useful. That has never stopped adventurers, travelers, or half the town from wandering in to see what she has found. - I have always thought the place feels less like a shop than somebody's collection that simply became too large to keep private. Elaris seems to know where everything belongs, even when nobody else could possibly understand the system.
