His deep umber hide and heavy frame make him look more like a battlefield threat than a keeper of old natural rites. When Karn calls on magic, his dark eyes brighten with silver-blue light, as though constellations have opened behind them. As a druid of the Circle of Stars, he draws power from moonlight, celestial signs, and the old patterns written across the night sky. He believes the stars are not distant ornaments, but guides left above the world for those willing to read them. <div class="dioctionary-ribbon">HIS PAST</div> - Karn was born in 1464 DR and spent his earliest years beneath [[Waterdeep]], where the cult of [[Baphomet]] tried to shape him into a weapon. He was not raised as a person at first, but as a future beast to be pointed at enemies and praised only when he obeyed. Karn escaped before they could finish making him into what they wanted, though the memory of those halls never fully left him. In the [[High Forest]], an old druid found him and taught him that a maze did not have to be a prison. It could be a question, a sanctuary, or a path that forced a lost soul to slow down before reaching the center. Karn later grew a living labyrinth near the [[Star Mounts]], where he protected a fallen shard said to have come from the Tears of [[Selûne]]. When [[Red Wizards]] burned the labyrinth while searching for the shard, Karn survived, but the place that had given him peace was left in ashes. He now travels to hunt those responsible, recover what was taken, and learn whether the stars still have a place for someone made in darkness.
