His cool gray-obsidian skin, long white hair, silver eyes, and scar over his right eye give him a severe appearance even when he is at rest. He favors a long two-handed blade, wielding it with a style shaped by patience rather than brute force. As a Battle Master, Vezryn studies movement, timing, and pressure, treating every duel as a problem that can be solved if he stays calm enough to read it. His faith in [[Vhaeraun]] reflects his rejection of [[Lolth]]ite rule and the houses that devoured his old life. Vezryn belongs in a story as a fallen noble trying to decide whether revenge can restore anything, or whether it only gives the past another way to command him. <div class="dioctionary-ribbon">HIS PAST</div> - Vezryn was born in 1365 DR into House Vhaelorin, a lesser noble house of [[Menzoberranzan]] that survived through caution and careful alliances. That caution failed when [[House Hunzrin]] moved against them, destroying Vhaelorin holdings and leaving Vezryn as one of the few to escape the slaughter. His sisters, [[Zesstra Vhaelorin]] and [[Ilvara Vhaelorin]], were taken alive, and he has never learned whether they survived as prisoners or were remade into weapons for the house that ruined them. Vezryn fled the [[Underdark]] with little more than his blade and the name he could no longer safely claim. On the surface, he was found by [[Masaru Keth]], an old swordmaster from distant [[THE DIOCTIONARY/TTRPG/D&D/WORLD LORE/LOCATIONS/ARTIMIS/KARA-TUR/Kara-Tur|Kara-Tur]] who taught him how to fight without letting hatred choose every strike. Masaru’s lessons gave Vezryn a code to live by, but not peace. Now he travels as a clanless swordsman, searching for signs of House Hunzrin and the sisters he may one day have to rescue or kill.
