<div class="dioctionary-ribbon">A Brief History</div>
- Mara Duskwell was the heart of [[Duskwell Manor]], the person who made an old house shadowed by war feel lived in instead of haunted. She was a woman of medium height by standards, with black hair, umber skin, and amber eyes that often seemed warmer than the room around her. She was not a soldier like [[Talia Duskwell]], but she had a strength that made people listen when she spoke. She believed love was something a person chose every day, especially when the world made that choice difficult. Her faith in [[Shelyn]] shaped much of how she saw the world: beauty mattered, love mattered, and even broken things deserved care before they were thrown away. Mara was the gentler half of Gideon's childhood, and her clearest lesson stayed with him long after her death: monsters are made by choices, not blood.
<div class="dioctionary-ribbon">HER PAST</div>
- Mara was born to Norman Evermoore and Harriet Evermoore, and grew up with her brother, Marlin Evermoore, in a life far removed from Hellknights, old enemies, and bloodline grudges. She came from ordinary people, and she never treated that as something lesser. When she met [[Talia Duskwell]], she saw more than the armor and the reputation. She saw a woman who had spent too long being useful as a weapon and too little time being allowed to rest. Their love was not soft in the fragile sense. It was steady, stubborn, and strong enough to build a home around. Mara became Talia’s wife and helped raise [[Gideon Duskwell]] and [[Gwendolyn Duskwell]] as her own, giving the twins warmth where Talia gave discipline. When old enemies came for [[Duskwell Manor]] after Talia’s death, Mara died trying to get the children out before the house was overrun. She left behind no famous order or battlefield legend, only the kind of absence that teaches the living what they have lost.
