<div class="dioctionary-ribbon">A Brief History</div>
- The Stonelands stretch across the broken borderlands north of [[Cormyr]], a vast expanse of jagged hills, barren moors, and wind-carved stone where civilization thins and danger takes root. Divided loosely by the Storm Horns, the region shifts from the mist-wrapped, unstable southern reaches to the harsher northern wastes that bleed toward the edges of Anauroch, forming one of the most feared wildernesses in the [[Eastern Heartlands]]. Once more fertile lands, the Stonelands have been shaped and scarred by centuries of conflict, reckless magic, and ecological collapse, leaving behind a landscape dominated by monstrous tribes, roaming predators, and unnatural phenomena that still echo the excesses of ancient powers. Storms sweep across the region with unpredictable fury, sometimes carrying wild or dead magic, while the terrain itself resists travel with ravines, cliffs, and scattered stone spires that rise like the bones of the earth.
