Rich in resources such as black-veined marble prized across [[Faerûn]], the range draws traders and prospectors despite the dangers, with dwarven clans maintaining mines and trade routes that connect to settlements like [[Easting]]. Beyond these pockets of civilization, however, the mountains are dominated by hostile forces; gnoll warbands, ogres, yeti, drow and frost giants.
