- Umberlee, the **Bitch Queen**, is the goddess of the sea in its most merciless form, embodying the violence, unpredictability, and indifference of the deep. Known also as the Queen of the Depths, she rules over oceans and storms with a volatile temperament, delighting in the destruction she brings. To those who travel her waters, she is not loved or revered, but feared, her favor bought through offerings and appeasement rather than devotion. Unlike deities who guide or protect, Umberlee demands tribute simply to _not_ destroy. Ships sink at her whim, storms rise without warning, and entire crews are lost not out of necessity, but because she chooses it. Her presence is often felt in the crashing of waves, the howl of wind, or the cold, mocking laughter carried across a storm. To cross the sea is to accept her terms, and to forget them, even once, is to be claimed by the depths without mercy.
