- Ilmater, known as the **Broken God** and the **One Who Endures**, is the deity of suffering, endurance, and quiet perseverance, a being who does not stand above pain, but willingly takes it upon himself. His presence is found not in triumph, but in the moments where suffering is endured rather than escaped, where burdens are carried so that others may be spared. To his followers, he is not distant, but deeply personal, a god who understands pain because he chooses to bear it. Ilmater teaches that suffering, while never desired, can hold meaning when it is used to protect, comfort, or uplift others. His faithful are called not only to endure their own hardships, but to take on the burdens of those who cannot bear them alone. Though patient and endlessly compassionate, his mercy is not without limit, for cruelty and needless suffering stir a wrath that is as absolute as his kindness. Where others turn away from pain, Ilmater remains, unbroken not because he does not suffer, but because he refuses to let suffering define the end.
