In an unknown time many decades ago on [[Parmesan Prime]], a corps of engineers had determined that beneath the crust of the planet, an unimaginable power source lay dormant and untapped. Stories say their plan was to tame this source, and intended to use it in order to drain portions of the massive which would provide additional lands for surface dwelling. Most unfortunately in their digging, the source of this power was deemed to strong to be contained by the technology of the time, and in their attempt to harness it, chaos ensued. Within days a thick and toxic green gas surged through the many tunnels of the planet, eradicating the breathable recycled air and its underground population. What few Ysoki escaped, fled the planet in what ships were available on the surface level as the gas climbed further and further into the stratosphere across the planet. Eventually... all that could be seen from a distance were storms of green gas and lighting where islands and clear blue water were once seen visible from the sky.
