Once believed to have been tied to ancient draconic rites and celestial observation, the observatory became the site of [[Sparkrender]]’s attempt to harness the passing **King-Killer Star** through the sacrifice of [[Aidron]], seeking to awaken dormant draconic power hidden within the island. Guided by [[Elder Runara]], the companions [[Kalis Mikhailson]], [[Marcel Voltaire]], [[Drougma Tarak]], [[Constantine]], and [[Dio Eldwynair]] fought their way through kobolds, winged creatures, and collapsing ruins to reach the ritual before its completion. During the storm, the skies briefly split apart as a [[MYSTERIOUS WOMAN]] riding [[MYSTERIOUS WOMAN'S DRAGON]] appeared within the lightning itself, condemning Sparkrender’s weakness before vanishing once more into the tempest. The battle that followed shook the ruined observatory with thunder, steel, and arcane fury until Sparkrender finally fell, and with his death, calm slowly returned to the cliffs overlooking [[Dragon's Rest]]
