Necromantic corruption clings to the wreckage, spreading unrest across the island and giving rise to the undead that first drew the concern of [[Elder Runara]]. In response, [[Dio Eldwynair]], [[Traxis]], [[Marcel Voltaire]], [[Constantine]], and [[Drougma Tarak]] journeyed by rowboat to investigate the wreck despite Dio’s repeated concerns about the combined weight of the party’s armor, while Drougma himself was notably forbidden from bringing [[Drougma's Barrel]] aboard. Upon reaching the ruined vessel, the group endured a harpy ambush upon the upper deck, broken only when Dio hurled a dagger directly through the creature’s face to shatter its trance over the party. Within the flooded remains of the ship, the companions uncovered a sealed journal and a cursed talisman tied to doomed love and the influence of [[Orcus]], revealing the source of the undead haunting the wreck. Though partially reclaimed from its curse, the Compass Rose remains a place of lingering corruption and sorrow, its tragedy still echoing across the storms and ruins of Stormwreck Isle.
