Selene was a jerk. There is probably a more dignified way to record that for history, but it would be less accurate. - She took naturally to the parts of [[House Blackfen]] I found exhausting: discipline, authority, control... She eventually became a paladin of the [[Order of the Lucky Blades]], following an Oath of Conquest that suited her personality alarmingly well. - Growing up, Selene was nearly as difficult as [[Cassian Blackfen]]. Cassian usually made everything feel like a competition; Selene had the additional talent of making it feel like an inspection. Between the three of us being close in age, family gatherings and Order training provided an impressive number of opportunities for me to be informed that I was doing something incorrectly. - She admired my mother, [[Therona Eldwynair]], and the discipline she represented. I cannot really fault her judgment there. I can, however, fault nearly everything about the way she expressed it.
