<div class="dioctionary-ribbon">A Brief History</div>
- [[The Copper Lantern]] sits along Oathmarch Road near the New Tilverton gate and has always been the quieter of [[Silvercross]]' inns. Growing up above [[The Silver Flagon]], I mostly knew it as the place people went when they wanted an inn without everything that made the Flagon "the Flagon".
- It was never really a rival. The Lantern offered quiet rooms, simple meals, and considerably less chance of hearing someone laughing through the floorboards at midnight. Some travelers preferred that, which I suppose shows there really is a place for everyone.
