<div class="dioctionary-ribbon">A Brief History</div>
- [[Plight for Peace]] is a piece of parchment I asked one of the [[Dragon's Rest Kobolds]] to write for me while they were reciting the teachings of [[Elder Runara]] beneath a large statue at [[Dragon's Rest]].
- I had heard plenty of sermons and lessons by then, but this one stayed with me. Maybe because after more than a century of fighting, dying, blaming myself, blaming other people, and starting over, the part about violence and forgiveness felt uncomfortably relevant.
- I kept the parchment when we left [[Stormwreck Isle]]. I am still working on the part about forgiving myself.

> *In the absence of peace, tyranny reigns free. To let violence take over your life will doom you to fail. Only when your heart is pure and you can forgive both yourself and your foes can you see true enlightenment.*
